ABOUT ALDILA GOLF

ALDILA, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings Corporation. ALDILA is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of carbon fiber shafts. ALDILA is a designer, manufacturer and marketer of carbon-based composite products and materials used in various end markets. ALDILA’s competencies are the development of carbon-based composites and the implementation of manufacturing processes that support the commercialization of these composites. ALDILA is a vertically integrated supplier of composites across three primary end markets: carbon-based pre-impregnated composite fibers, graphite golf shafts and archery products.

1972

ALDILA® Established

Aeronautical engineer, Jim Flood develops his first version of the graphite golf shaft, from which the ALDILA® company was born.
1982

The First Composite Shaft used by Golf Equipment Manufacturers

ALDILA® Low Torque launched. The first composite golf shaft to be used by golf equipment manufacturers.
1988

Tour Success

ALDILA® HM40/Tour Gold launched and gains widespread Tour usage. Japan sales surge.
1991

Callaway® Big Bertha Stock Shaft

Callaway® Golf Introduces Big Bertha with ALDILA®. The first major golf equipment manufacturer to offer composite golf shafts.
1993

ALDILA® makes Initial Public Offering on NASDAQ.

2003

ALDILA® NV®Launches

ALDILA® NV® launched and becomes one of the most successful after-market composite golf shafts.
2010

ALDILA® acquires Victory Archery.

2013

ALDILA® acquired by Mitsubishi Rayon, LTD.

2017

New ALDILA® Office in Carlsbad, CA

ALDILA® completes integration with MCA GOLF, INC. and relocates to new offices in Carlsbad, CA.
