Aldila Rogue Used to Win Shell Houston Open

describe the image

The winner of the Shell Houston Open drove to victory using the Aldila Rogue golf shaft (Rogue 70 Tour X) in his driver. Aldila also had more shafts in play during the Shell Houston Open than any other manufacturer.  To date, players using Aldila shafts have won 10 times during the 2016 Tour season.  Since the 2014 Tour season, players using the Aldila Rogue have won 24 times, including 2 Majors and 2 FedEx Cup Championships.  With results like these, there’s no surprise the Aldila Rogue continues to be the most popular driver shaft in play since its introduction on Tour.

“Rogue offers unmatched performance and consistency through the use of advanced, rare, and extremely expensive aerospace materials,” said John Oldenburg, Aldila’s Vice President of Engineering and Product Development. “No other golf shaft on the market today uses the advanced, extremely high modulus, ‘Graphitic Carbon’ fibers that provide performance characteristics never before available in a golf shaft.”

The Aldila Rogue shaft series employ ‘Graphitic Carbon’ with a modulus ranging from 95 MSI (million pounds per square inch) in the Rogue Black, to 110 MSI in the Rogue Silver, and 125 MSI in the “Limited Edition – Made in U.S.A.” Rogue.  The modulus of the graphite material used in typical graphite shafts ranges from 33 MSI to 55 MSI.  By incorporating this new material, Aldila is able to make the shaft stiffer and lower torque without adding weight.  At the same time, the placement of the material in top third of the shaft (grip end) allows the shaft manufacturer to slightly counterbalance the shaft to work well with today’s heavier driver heads and the longer length of modern drivers.

The Aldila Rogue Silver and Rogue Black shafts are available through leading club manufacturers and distributors worldwide. The Rogue Silver has a stiff tip section for a mid to low launch with low spin, while the Rogue Black has a medium-stiff tip section and slightly higher torque for a mid-high launch with moderate spin.  The stiff-tip Rogue Silver are available in 60 and 70 gram versions in R, S, and X flexes. The mid-stiff tip Rogue Black are available in 60, 70, 80 versions as well as an 85 gram hybrid shaft in R, S, and X flexes. Aldila Rogue shafts are available with a suggested retail price of $449.

Aldila NV 2KXV Used to Win RSM Classic

describe the image

The winner of the RSM Classic drove to victory using Aldila’s new NV 2KXV golf shaft in both his driver and 3 wood.  The NV 2KXV is the newest addition to Aldila’s high performance line of golf shafts and will be launched at the 2016 PGA Show.  In addition, Aldila was the most popular driver, wood and hybrid shaft in play at the RSM Classic.

“When the original NV, featuring Micro Laminate Technology®, was introduced it quickly became the number one aftermarket golf shaft ever offered, a favorite of Tour pros and amateurs alike, said John Oldenburg, Aldila’s Vice President of Engineering.”  After years of development, Aldila has created NexGen Micro Laminate Technology™ - new, even thinner high performance carbon fibers combined with today’s advanced fiber resin technology.  The result is even more layers of carbon fiber offering maximum consistency and performance.  What separated the original NV from other shafts available was what some referred to as its ‘perfect feel’.  The 2KNV provides for even better feel and performance.  Available in the standard Green design or for those seeking slightly higher ball flight, there is the Orange design,”

Aldila’s patented NexGen Micro Laminate Technology™ is comprised of ultra-thin layers of premium grade materials oriented to maximize distance and accuracy.  This design revolution eliminates inconsistent shots caused by shaft variability, providing superior feel.  The unique design of the NV 2KXV also features a higher balance point making it ideal for use in todays heavier club head designs.  PGA Tour tested, PGA Tour proven.   The new Aldila NV 2KXV is available in 2 launch profiles.  The standard launch Green model offering a low-mid launch shaft promoting lower spin.  The Orange model features a slightly softer tip for a higher ball flight.  Both NV 2KXV models have a MSRP of $299.
