Aldila captures wood, hybrid shaft manufacturer counts on PGA Tour to remain #1

‘The Hottest Shafts In Golf’ captures wood; hybrid shaft brand counts on Nationwide Tour

17Oct11 releasePOWAY, Calif. – Led by their triple threat of patented shaft design technologies, Aldila (www.aldila.com) continued to dominate the wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts on the PGA Tour. At the McGladrey Classic, Aldila had 13 more wood shafts and nearly double the amount of hybrid shafts in play than their closest competitor, according to the Darrell Survey.
By winning both the wood and hybrid shaft counts, it marked the 35th time in the past 39 events that Aldila has won both counts at a PGA Tour event.

Led by their latest shaft series, the RIP, “The Hottest Shafts In Golf” was also the #1 wood and graphite shaft brand of choice at the Miccosukee Championship on the Nationwide
Tour.

“Aldila has developed three patented shaft design technologies, MLT, S-core and RIP, that offer players of all abilities optimum performance to maximize the potential of their individual swing,” said Stewart Bahl, Aldila’s Marketing Manager. “Reverse Interlaminar Placement Technology (RIP) transforms the shaft from the inside out providing players with shot control.  RIP shafts offer golfers lower torque, increased tip stability and better tip stiffness control. S-core Technology™ (S-core) provides the golfer with stability through an innovative design incorporating a one-piece carbon fiber rib system. This helps the shaft stay more concentric during the golf swing thereby transferring maximum energy. Micro Laminate Technology (MLT) is designed using ultra thin layers of premium aerospace graphite that are matched with a proprietary thin profile shaft design that eliminate ‘dead zones’ in the shaft for precise feel.

Aldila’s patented shaft design technologies provide the perfect balance of applied art and engineering. They are continually on the leading edge of the golf world through their relentless pursuit of the next best innovation. They do the experimenting so you don’t have to. Pushing success to the edge and redefining how power should feel. Are you playing Aldila, or just graphite?

Aldila's VS Proto helps Insperity Champ notch first victory on Champions Tour

‘The Hottest Shafts In Golf’ dominates driver, wood and hybrid shaft counts at Frys.com Open

describe the imagePOWAY, Calif. – With the help of Aldila’s VS Proto shafts in his hybrids, the winner of the rain-shortened Insperity Championship posted his first victory on the Champions Tour. He finished the second round with a 7-under 65 for a onestroke lead as the field headed into Sunday, but the heavy rains at The Woodlands Country Club in Texas washed away any hopes for the final round.

On the PGA Tour, Aldila (www.aldila.com) lived up to their reputation as “The Hottest Shafts In Golf” by dominating the shaft manufacturer counts at the Frys.com Open. By winning the driver, wood, and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts at the Frys.com Open, Aldila maintained its status as the #1 Shaft on Tour. In fact, Aldila shafts were so popular that they had 30 more of their wood shafts in play than the next leading shaft manufacturer, according to the Darrell Survey. Aldila has left no doubt that they are the shaft of choice by winning both the wood and hybrid shaft counts 34 times in the past 38 events on the PGA Tour.

“Aldila has developed three patented shaft design technologies that continue to prove themselves week after week on the PGA Tour,” said Stewart Bahl, Aldila’s Marketing Manager. “Micro Laminate (MLT), Stabilized Core (S-core) and Reverse Interlaminar Placement (RIP) technologies each offer players of all abilities optimum performance to maximize the potential of their individual swing.”

MLT is designed using ultra thin layers of premium aerospace graphite that are matched with a proprietary thin profile shaft design that eliminate ‘dead zones’ in the shaft for precise feel. S-core Technology™ provides the golfer with stability through an innovative design incorporating a one-piece carbon fiber rib system. This helps the shaft stay more concentric during the golf swing thereby transferring maximum energy. RIP Technology™ transforms the shaft from the inside out providing players with shot control. RIP shafts offer golfers lower torque, increased tip stability and better tip stiffness control.

For the fourth consecutive year Aldila was also the #1 graphite shaft manufacturer at the PGA Tour Playoffs for the FedExCup, according to the Darrell Survey. “The Hottest Shafts In Golf” dominated the competition by having 67 more wood shafts in play than the next leading shaft manufacturer throughout the four-event playoff and 23 more hybrid shafts in play than their closest competitor.

Aldila’s RIP (Reverse Interlaminar Placement) shaft technology in his driver, the winner of the SAS Championship out drove the competition to notch his first victory on the Champions Tour. He finished the tournament with an 11-under-par 205 to win by one stroke and moved
from 20th to 14th place on the 2011 Champions Tour Charles Schwab Cup Points.

With the help of Aldila’s (www.aldila.com) RIP shaft, he led the SAS Championship field in driving distance with a tournament average of 296.5 yards. Statistically he leads the Champions Tour in overall Driving Distance with an average of 295.7 yards.

“The RIP employs patent-pending technology and exclusive materials to completely transform
shaft design from the inside out,” said Stewart Bahl, Aldila’s Marketing Manager. “Through the use of computer modeling technology and exclusive materials provided by the Aldila Materials Division, Aldila engineers were able to completely rethink golf shaft design and performance. The result is a revolutionary shaft with optimum flex and torque characteristics with incredible feel that continues to be tested and proven across the Tours week after week.”

On the PGA Tour, the RIP helped lead the way for “The Hottest Shafts In Golf” as Aldila won the wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts at the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. Aldila had 21 more wood shafts and 10 more hybrid shafts in play than their closest competitor, according to the Darrell Survey. Winning both counts marked the 33rd time in the past 37 PGA Tour events that Aldila has won both shaft counts.
