DANA QUIGLEY WINS RALEY'S GOLD CLASSIC USING NEW ALDILA TGi 100 GRAPHITE IRON SHAFTS SECOND WIN FOR ALDILA IN LAST MONTH

SAN DIEGO, CA (October 20, 1998) Dana Quigley, earned his third career Senior PGA win at last week’s Raley’s Gold Classic with a come-from-behind three stroke win over John Morgan. Quigley, posted a final round score of eight-under-par 64, to earn $150,000. Quigley, entered the final round trailing by three strokes.

Quigley, who uses Aldila TGi 100 graphite shafts in his irons and the Longwood Tour wood shaft in his driver, reached the $1 million mark in single season earnings for the first time with the victory. In addition, this is Aldila’s second win in the past month with the new TGi 100 graphite shafts.

“Dana has played terrific golf throughout the entire 1998 Senior Tour season," said Mike Rossi, Aldila’s Vice President of Marketing and Sales. "We are quite proud that our TGi 100 shafts have given Dana tremendous confidence in his iron play.”

The TGi 100 graphite shaft is a 100 gram shaft which is available in R and S flexes and features a .355" taper tip or .370" parallel tip design. In addition, the TGi shaft is sold in frequency matched sets with every shaft in a set individually designed at a constant weight and same torque. The TGi shaft also features a swing weight similar to conventional steel shafts.
