MIKE SPOSA CAPTURES NIKE BOISE OPEN USING ALDILA TGi 120 IRON SHAFTS

SAN DIEGO,CA (September 24, 1998) Mike Sposa, earned his first NIKE TOUR win with a two-shot win over Dennis Paulson. His closest previous finish was at the 1995 NIKE Knoxville Open, when he lost in a playoff to Tom Scherrer.

Sposa, posted a final round score of 6-under-par 65 for a 19-under-par total to set a tournament record and raise his season earnings to $110,073 and 10th place on the NIKE TOUR official money list. The Top 15 players on the money list earn an exemption on the PGA TOUR.

Sposa, uses Aldila TGi 120 graphite iron shafts, to post his 6th Top 10 finish of the season.

Sposa, who turned professional in 1991 and was a member of the Walker Cup team and was the 41st NIKE Tour Qualifier at the 1997 PGA TOUR Qualifying Tournament.
