MIKE
WEIR AND CARL PAULSON WIN ON PGA AND NIKE TOUR USING ALDILA

SAN DIEGO, CA (September 7, 1999)
Mike Weir and Carl Paulson captured PGA TOUR and NIKE TOUR
events at the Air Canada and NIKE Utah Classic tournaments.
Both Weir and Paulson earned their first titles while using
Aldila's HM-40 graphite shafts. Weir used the HM-40 in his
Callaway 3 and 5 woods, while Paulson had his HM-40 shaft
in his Titleist driver.
Weir, shot back to back, seven-under-par
scores of 64 for a two-stroke win over Fred Funk. His victory
was worth $450,000 and he became the first Canadian player
to win a PGA event in Canada since Pat Fletcher in 1954.
Paulson, won his first NIKE
TOUR event after 83 starts. His six-shot win vaulted him to
3rd place on the NIKE TOUR Official Money list with $153,271.
