JIM
CARTER WINS $3 MILLION TUCSON OPEN FOR FIRST PGA TOUR VICTORY
USING ALDILA GRAPHITE
SAN DIEGO, CA (March 2, 2000)
Jim Carter, captured his first PGA Tour title at the Tucson
Open with a 19-under-par score of 269. Carter, earned a first
prize check of $540,000 with his two-shot victory over three
players including Chris DiMarco, Jean Van De Velde and third
round leader Tom Scherrer.
Going
into the final round, Carter trailed Scherrer by four shots.
Carter, shot a final round, six-under-par 66, using the Aldila
TGW 70 graphite shafts in his driver and the Aldila TGW 80
and Aldila TGW 90 in his fairway woods.
