TO OFFER ALDILA'S NEW ALDILA ONE SHAFT AS
CUSTOM OPTION IN NEW DRIVER
SAN DIEGO, CA - January 18, 2002. Nike has announced it will
be offering Aldila's new Aldila One shaft as a custom option
in its new driver. The new graphite shaft, featuring Aldila's
revolutionary Segmented Flex Technology, will be displayed
at the Aldila booth at the 2002 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando,
FL.
Developed by Aldila Engineering VP John Oldenburg and staff,
Segmented Flex Technology refers to the unique flex characteristics
of each discreet shaft segment. Oldenburg called the innovation,
"The first major leap forward in golf shaft performance
since the development of graphite itself."
The Aldila One is currently available in R, S, and X flexes
in a 46 inch driver length-and is offered with three distinct
tip sections, giving the player a choice of Low, Mid or High
launch. Aldila One fairway woods will follow in early summer
2002.
