NIKE TO OFFER ALDILA'S NEW ALDILA ONE SHAFT AS
CUSTOM OPTION IN NEW DRIVER

SAN DIEGO, CA - January 18, 2002. Nike has announced it will be offering Aldila's new Aldila One shaft as a custom option in its new driver. The new graphite shaft, featuring Aldila's revolutionary Segmented Flex Technology, will be displayed at the Aldila booth at the 2002 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, FL.

Developed by Aldila Engineering VP John Oldenburg and staff, Segmented Flex Technology refers to the unique flex characteristics of each discreet shaft segment. Oldenburg called the innovation, "The first major leap forward in golf shaft performance since the development of graphite itself."

The Aldila One is currently available in R, S, and X flexes in a 46 inch driver length-and is offered with three distinct tip sections, giving the player a choice of Low, Mid or High launch. Aldila One fairway woods will follow in early summer 2002.

Aldila, the number one graphite shaft manufacturer among consumers and on professional tour worldwide, supplies leading manufacturers, distributors and custom clubmakers throughout the world with high quality graphite shafts for golfers of all abilities.
