GUY BOROS CAPTURED EVENT USING ALDILA TOUR GOLD SHAFTS
San Diego, CA
(June 23, 2003)-Aldila, golf's leading designer and manufacturer
of high performance graphite wood and irons shafts, including
the new NV prototype continued their dominance on the Nationwide
Tour in player usage and in the bag of tournament champion
Guy Boros at last week's Lake Erie Charity Classic.
According to the
Darrell Survey Company, for past six weeks on the Nationwide
Tour, Aldila's new NV Prototype graphite shaft has been the
most popular graphite shaft model. In addition, for the fourth
consecutive weeks, Aldila has also captured the Wood Shaft
Manufacturer count.
In addition, Guy
Boros, who captured the Lake Erie event with a 13-under-par
score of 275, used Aldila Tour Gold shafts in his fairway
woods.
"It's very
gratifying to continue our reign as the most popular graphite
shaft model used on the Nationwide Tour. Top players are approached
all the time about changing their shafts and it's a strong
testament to the performance level of the NV prototype to
continue holding this leadership position."said Mike
Rossi, Aldila's Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "Each
week the NV prototype keeps getting stronger and stronger
in awareness at both the professional level and with golfers
at all skill levels. This shaft is gaining similar momentum
to our HM-40 model, when it hit the marketplace a few years
ago."
The NV Prototype,
features exclusive aerospace materials and Aldila's unique
Micro Laminate TechnologyÔ that provides the player
enhanced power, consistent flex and precise feel. The NV Prototype
has a range of weight options ranging from 65-105 grams in
10-gram increments.
